INSIDE THE ALBUM with Frankie:
Nothing gets me more fired up about music than hearing Jerry Lee Lewis kick off a song with a driving piano intro. To me, that’s the epitome of badass. I’ve always brought that energy to my live shows, but I’d never really focused an entire album around that vibe—until now.
It was time. We went into the studio with one goal: to make something badass. The result was an album that’s part honky-tonk, part country, and packed with a giant punch of attitude. It’s a collection of songs that capture the essence of life on the road as a Rock N’ Roll band.
After wrapping up the album, we headed to Nashville for mixing. The night before, we had a concert in Vegas, and let’s just say we were still feeling the effects. The flight was rough—hungover and battling turbulence. When we finally landed, we made a quick stop at Jack’s BBQ for some grub before diving straight into the studio.
Honestly, the next three days were a blur of Crown Royal and chili dogs. If you’re gonna make a drinkin’ album, you’ve gotta be drinkin’, right? I couldn’t tell you all the details, but from what I hear, it was a hell of a lot of fun to make.
