INSIDE THE ALBUM with Frankie:
One day, we were sitting in a local coffee shop and thought it would be nice to record an album that could fit perfectly in that kind of environment—something chill and hip. We decided it should feature all acoustic instruments. I had just bought an ukulele and learned to play it, so we figured we’d incorporate that as well. That’s how the concept for “Uku-Latte” was born.
We wrote the songs as we recorded them. It was a very fast process. We invited our friend DeAnn Letourneau, the concertmaster of the Las Vegas Philharmonic and lead violinist for Celine Dion, to join us on this album. We recorded it over a few days and released it digitally. We never printed physical copies of this album.
