INSIDE THE ALBUM with Frankie:
We had been playing pool parties, nightclubs, casinos—pretty much any venue that would take us. As a four-piece band on the road, we’d jump into our van and drive anywhere for the chance to get on stage and play our music.
By then, I had been living in Vegas for a few years, and it was clear we had to prove ourselves. It wasn’t easy breaking into the scene in a town where original music wasn’t always embraced. That struggle bred a certain defiance in us, and we poured all of it into our songs.
We were rebellious, full of energy, and, honestly, a little crazy. From the moment we wrote those tracks, I knew they wouldn’t have a long shelf life—they captured who we were at that time, but I didn’t see the topics staying relevant as we grew older. So, we just ran with it, had fun, and probably pissed a lot of people off in the process.
That moment marked the first time I wrote a song with my brother, Tony—The Edge. It was a turning point for both of us, and from then on, we never stopped writing together. It felt natural, like something we were always meant to do, and it opened the door to a whole new creative chapter in our lives.
Fun Fact: There was a girl named Justine Ezarik who started coming to our shows. She designed the album cover for us. She went on to be known as iJustine and a famous YouTuber.
