INSIDE THE ALBUM with Frankie:
At the time, I was traveling frequently to Europe for songwriting. Having just completed a full symphony, I became interested in the idea of getting it published in Vienna, Austria, by the same publishing company that once handled many of Beethoven’s works. To prepare, I even learned a bit of German, so I could communicate more easily when I arrived.
During my trip, I visited the place where Mozart used to compose—a small park near his house, tucked behind Saint Stephen’s Cathedral in Stephansplatz. Inspired by the location, I began composing music for string quartets and other classical pieces, all of them simple yet meaningful creations made purely for my own amusement.
When I got home, I asked a few string players I had been working with to record these compositions, and that’s how this album came to life.
