INSIDE THE ALBUM with Frankie:
Over a stretch of a few years, we were so wrapped up in live performances and touring that we barely had time to make new records. We’d occasionally sneak into the studio to knock out a single or two, but that was about it.

When we signed with a new distribution company, they were eager for content. So, the first thing we did was gather all those singles that had been floating around and compiled them into a full-length album. Each of these songs had done really well on their own and had become staples in our shows, but now they finally had a place to officially call home.

We struggled with what to name the album until we came up with “Future Greatest Hits (Vol. 1)”—a tongue-in-cheek way of saying, “These songs are destined to do well.” Unfortunately, the title led to the album being mistakenly categorized as a compilation, which meant it never charted as it should have.
